Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge
Product Overview
This instrument is a smart ultrasonic thickness gauge, featuring the latest high-performance, low-power microprocessor technology. Based on the ultrasonic measurement principle, it can accurately measure the thickness of metals and a wide range of other materials, while also enabling the determination of material-specific sound velocities. It’s ideal for monitoring various pipelines and pressure vessels in production equipment—tracking the degree of thinning caused by corrosion over time—as well as providing precise measurements for diverse sheet materials and machined components. This versatile tool finds extensive applications across multiple industries, including petroleum, chemical processing, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aerospace, and more.
- Suitable for measuring the thickness of metals (such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, ceramics, glass, fiberglass, and any other excellent ultrasonic conductors;
- It can be equipped with probes of various frequencies and different chip sizes; known thicknesses allow for the reverse measurement of sound velocity, enhancing measurement accuracy.
- Features a coupled state indication function;
- It features EL backlighting for easy use in low-light environments.
- It features a remaining battery indicator that displays the current battery level in real time.
- Features include automatic sleep and auto-shutdown functions for power saving;
- Compact, portable, and highly reliable, it is suitable for harsh operating environments and resistant to vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can't charge the device?
The device may have been left unused for too long, causing the battery to lose charge. You can try charging it for an extended period. If there’s still no response, we recommend sending it in for repair. Also, please use the dedicated charger provided for each device when charging.
Can't connect the thickness gauge's flat plate to the instrument?
First, turn on the tablet’s hotspot and check whether the eight-digit number in the hotspot name matches the eight-digit SN code of the device. If they don’t match, make the necessary adjustments. Then, follow the instructions in the manual to connect the tablet. If you’re still unable to proceed, we recommend contacting customer support for assistance.
How can I fix the issue of fluctuating readings during thickness measurement?
It is recommended to connect the flat plate during the thickness measurement process and observe the waveform. If the waveform appears poor, switch to manual mode for inspection. If no consistent waveform is detected, consider potential material issues or probe damage—replace the probe and try again. If no waveform still appears after replacing the probe, the material itself may be of poor quality, making it unable to generate an effective signal.
