Pulse Eddy Current Flaw Detector
PEC Pulse Eddy Current Probe / Submersible IP68-Rated Probe with High Lift-Off and High-Power Capability / Probe-to-Material Measurement Gap Up to 80 mm
Multi-layer protective coating provides an intuitive A-scan and C-scan inspection interface for detecting defects in the base material wall thickness of corrosion-resistant pipelines.
PE1437 can detect corrosion areas in steel objects without any surface preparation. There’s no need to remove scale, dirt, paint, or other coatings—up to 80 mm of accumulated scale or paint can be detected.

Application
PE Insulated Pipe Measurement
Heat exchange pipeline
Corroded pipeline
Streetlight pole
Ship Inspection
Features
- This device features a small probe size, allowing it to operate on small objects for precise defect detection. It can detect even the smallest defects, including flat-bottomed holes as small as 20 millimeters in diameter—provided the depth of the flaw is no more than 5% of the nominal material thickness.
- The device features a bright display that shows the measured thickness, as well as A-scan and C-scan images.
- The monitor is protected with impact-resistant glass.
- This probe features an IP68-rated housing, making it suitable for underwater use.

The device features a shockproof casing and comes equipped with a host protective case, probe, charger, and the main unit itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can't charge the device?
The device may have been left unused for too long, causing the battery to lose charge. You can try charging it for an extended period. If there’s still no response, we recommend sending it in for repair. Also, please use the dedicated charger provided for each device when charging.
Can't connect the thickness gauge's flat plate to the instrument?
First, turn on the tablet’s hotspot and check whether the eight-digit number in the hotspot name matches the eight-digit SN code of the device. If they don’t match, make the necessary adjustments. Then, follow the instructions in the manual to connect the tablet. If you’re still unable to proceed, we recommend contacting customer support for assistance.
How can I fix the issue of fluctuating readings during thickness measurement?
It is recommended to connect the flat plate during the thickness measurement process and observe the waveform. If the waveform appears poor, switch to manual mode for inspection. If no consistent waveform is detected, consider potential material issues or probe damage—replace the probe and try again. If no waveform still appears after replacing the probe, the material itself may be of poor quality, making it unable to generate an effective signal.
